General Information
Before ordering, please be
aware that the DVDs we sell are NOT commercially- produced recordings.
These Television Programs are not currently available commercially on
DVD in the United States or Canada. The DVDs that are listed here have
been thoroughly researched and to our knowledge have been found to be in
the Public Domain. We do not sell factory items that are currently
avail- able in the US and Canada. These television programs are from our
personal collection and have never been purchased from a commercial
source. Our master prints originate from various sources and have been
built over the years through trades and purchases from other Classic TV
fans' private collections. If anyone comes across a DVD being sold here
that they own the rights to, please Notify Us with a cease and desist
notification immediately along with credentials, proof of ownership, and
information necessary to contact you to our e-mail address and we will
promptly remove the collection. The entire purpose of this website is to
provide otherwise unavailable television shows to the serious collector.

These Shows have not been commercially
released, How is it possible that you sell them?
All of the titles in our collections are NOT available
COMMERCIALLY on DVD the U.S. or Canada and are believed to
be in Public Domain. There is a section of the American
copyright law known as "The Berne Act" that clearly states:
films unreleased in the United States, including original
versions of films altered and/or edited for release in the
United States, are NOT protected by American copyright;
thus, they are considered PUBLIC DOMAIN. There was a Supreme
Court ruling on this when the Church re-edited films
(removing sexual content etc.) and sold them to their
congregations and this was deemed legal.
Berne Copyright Convention still holds for most
countries, the United States in year 2000 saw the adoption
of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), this law was
so broad that interpreted literally even using your TiVo is
a crime. The DMCA had basically a response to the growing
ease of duplicating and transmitting digitally recorded
media. It was written to stop the pirating by any means
existing and attempted to protect against any technology
that might be invented. Yet again, it is legal for the
Church to do it.
For the most part we see all these steps as positive. The
studios have the right and obligation to take steps to
protect its products and future. As we are old TV program
fans we also want to make sure that they are able to
continue to produce fine TV shows (and the ones we love as
well.) Our only problem is that they made no distinction
between the guy trying to make an almost forgotten, or long
begged for, television programs available and the criminal
mass producing newly released movies while they are still in
the theatres.
We sellers help shape entire genres by bringing them to the
people, building an audience and showing that a true
commercial venture is viable. It has always been our
contention that we act as what the business world calls
"Point of Presence." We keep the item in people's minds and
remind them that they liked it. And you can bet that almost
anyone that pays for a TV-to-VHS-to-DVD conversion of their
favorite old TV show WILL pay for the real thing just as
soon as someone decides there is a market for it.
The Gray Area
*Copies of DVDs released in the US or Canada over ten
years ago and we can't find for sale anywhere. Meaning they
are now Out-of-Print (OOP)
*Copies of DVDs released and immediately recalled.

What is the Compatibility of
these Collections?
These collections are created on high quality
DVD-R discs and are Region Free
(NTSC, Region 0). This means that they are playable on most
standalone DVD players worldwide, PlayStation 2, X-Box, and all computers that have DVD
playback software installed with a DVD-ROM drive.
Compatibility Troubleshooting:
Why is there no sound
or the sound is garbled or hissing noises are present?
Some early production DVDs may have very
low or even no sound. This is not considered a manufacturing
default.
If you are having sound problems, garbled, hissing etc. you
can go to the settings on your player and enable the MPEG
audio, usually PCM & MPEG rather than just PCM. If this does
not work then the best course of action is to contact us and
we will sort it out for you. If it is indeed a manufactured
faulty disc, we will arrange a return for exchange.
Why the movie pauses for a while when played?
When the disc reader tries to access a different sector on
the disc, it may trigger a slight pause which usually last
less than 1 second. This is not a defect and it is common to
many DVDs.
The DVD that I just received won't play. What's wrong?
The cause of this can be due to the DVD or DVD player. Quite
often the cause of this can be due to discs that have been
handled incorrectly (i.e. fingerprints or scratches on the
read surface, discs forcibly removed from their casing
causing cracks). It is most unusual for a disc to be faulty
in any way when manufactured. There are rare instances of
faulty batches which usually result in product recalls. It
is therefore imperative that you check for any of these
problems before contacting us.
Occasionally discs have been found to not be compatible with
certain DVD players especially older players and very
expensive models, which is why we encourage our customers to
first check any problem discs on another brand of player or
their computers to ensure that it is indeed a problem with
the disc itself.

How are the Episodes organized for
these Collections?
The
Episode List on a Collection's Details Page will list all of the
episodes in the order in which they appear on the actual DVD collection.
Most collections have been compiled in chronological order.
___________________________________________________________________________
What is your
Source for your Collections?
A Collection's
source may vary even episode to episode. The various
sources include, but are not limited to, VHS transfers and Digital Files.
A VHS transfer is when a show or episode is taken from a VHS tape
recording and converted to a digital or DVD file. Digital files include
DivX, XviD, MOV, RM, RMVB, MPEG, WMV, AVI, VOB, and MPEG-4 formatted
videos.

What does the Quality Rating for a
Collection mean?
The quality of a
Collection
is based on an average of both the video and audio quality of the episodes from a
given collection. Episodes of a single show may come from various
sources which may affect the
quality rating. As these Collections are NOT DIGITALLY RE-MASTERED, they
may include station logos and banners from the original source. We do try to
get the best quality available for each of our Collections. Our Quality
Rating is based upon
the Originally Aired Program not just in comparison to what is available
from collectors.
